Pili Hot Sauce

We are so excited to bring this locally-made hot sauce from Baobab Fare into the shop. Baobab Fare is an East African restaurant offering food that honors traditional dishes served in Burundi, the birthplace of husband-and-wife owners Nadia Nijimbere and Hamissi Mamba. The restaurant resides at the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Grand Boulevard and is a safe space for immigrants and Detroiters alike and a community space where all are welcomed and embraced. 

Their fiery Pili Hot Sauce is a home recipe from Burundi. Featuring a mix of fresh, fire-roasted habanero peppers with other aromatic spices, crafted in small batches, to make a savory sauce with a kick. You can enjoy this bold and distinctive East African taste on eggs, chicken, fish fry, rice beans, sandwiches, and more!
